Snow White: Themes of Development – A Monthly Maskmaking Intensive

Caryn Aman
December 18, 2010-May 21, 2011

Using the fairytale, Snow White, we will explore the developing feminine within us from a Jungian perspective. Mornings will be spent in discussion of the fairytale and dreamwork followed by afternoons devoted to body and voice work with time to journal or paint your experience. The mask making process will fill our evenings. The work will evolve over six monthly sessions. Over the six months and within a sacred container, participants will deepen their understanding of the developmental issues facing the maiden years of the young feminine. Many women have been wounded during these formative years. This intensive will allow for understanding to begin healing the deep feminine. At the end of the series, each participant will come away with a completed mask expressing her own individual integration of the process. The process of holding the sessions monthly allows the participant to ease into the work at a slower pace and encourages the practice of containing oneself during the time in between gatherings. It is a great, introductory way to experience the BodySoul training of the Marion Woodman Foundation.

Dates:
Saturdays, December 18, 2010, January 22, February 19, March 19, April 23, May 21, 2011, 9am-9pm. Participants must enroll in all 6 sessions.
