BodySoul Dream Group – Monthly Meetings

Andrea Wells
November 16, 2013-December 13, 2014

Monthly Saturdays, November 2013 – December 2014

"Symbols of the self arise from the depths of the body"  C.G. Jung

Dream images from the depths of the psyche carry wisdom and guidance for our soul's journey including hidden or rejected parts of us – our inner gold. We will explore the personal and archetypal meanings of these images through movement, art, and active imagination, so that we may more fully embody and live into the wisdom of the dream. The sacred container of the group provides support and witness to the inner work of each participant.

The BodySoul work of Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman will be discussed and excerpts from DVD interviews with Marion will guide us in our understanding of the connection between Psyche, Body & Dreams. The roots of this work grow out of a deep respect for dreams, C.G. Jung’s understanding of the psyche, the great wisdom of the body, and Marion Woodman’s passionate commitment to articulating the sacred feminine and the embodied soul.

Soul Journaling: A Workshop Series

Catharine Clarke
April 9-May 28, 2013

If you are seeking deeper self-awareness and a doorway to your creativity, consider Soul Journaling, a workshop series where journal writing encourages inner exploration and nourishes creative life.

Facilitator Catharine Clarke creates a safe and nurturing healing space where a small circle gathers to turn inward and write together —where we learn to open to the stillness, to trust our inner world, to honor our authentic voice. Soul Journaling offers us the opportunity to:

• Listen more deeply

• Respect our need to be creative

• Explore the soul of our inner conflicts and fears

• Open to our dream life

• Hear our true calling

• Imagine our life as an unfolding story

• Awaken our creative potential

Soul Journaling breaks our isolation and strengthens our commitment to living an authentic life. Together we open our journals, our hearts, our souls, and write in an atmosphere of mutual support and shared endeavor, while encouraging trust, intimacy, and self-honesty. We begin with our dreams, then awaken our bodies through movement before writing.

We will begin the Spring Soul Journaling series in the Hudson Valley on Tuesday, April 9 and meet together for eight sessions in Malden-on-Hudson, New York, just north of Saugerties off 9W. We will gather from 6:30 to 9:00pm 捷凯金融 in a warm, intimate setting. In order to secure a strong container for our work, it is best if each participant intends to attend the full eight-session series (and at least six). Limited space; pre- registration required.

Flow as an Embodied Reality

Marian Dunlea and Janice Rous
September 5-8, 2013

In this workshop, Janice Rous will join me from the USA in the exploration of Flow as an embodied movement. This process is one of listening to expansion and restriction, flow and resistance, movement and stillness. In this dance of the opposites, we will find where the breath begins and ends, where sound opens freely from its root and where energy is released to express our core vitality. We invite you into this dance of stillness, light, breath and balance. We will listen to our bodies’ dreamings and paint the energies that are awakening.

Janice writes: From the time I was a small child I made sense of my world through dance improvisation. Now at 62 years, I am still exploring my world through movement but have added painting as my main channel of self expression. When I begin a canvas which is almost always larger than my body I wonder how do I begin? From the moment I lay down my first stroke of color I enter into a dance of color and form and open to a source that speaks through me. I layer color on color until something speaks to me. It is akin to how I do my healing work which I call BODY DIALOGUE.

At the heart of it all is gratitude and celebration of life.

Marian writes: BodyDreaming is a way of working with dreams and images, that I have developed which tracks the pathways in the body where the energy of the dream is held. It invites us into the place of healing between body and dream, where old traumas, symptoms and complexes hold fast in the neural pathways of the body. When supported, the body may be ready to reveal the mystery of the 捷凯官网 dream image and open to new possibilities and wholeness. Marian Dunlea has developed BodyDreaming from her many years experience in private practice and facilitating workshops. This approach brings together her training as a Jungian Analyst, BodySoul Workshop Facilitator with the Marion Woodman Foundation, and her training in Somatic Experiencing, Peter Levine’s approach to trauma.

Jung, Alchemy and the Tree of Life – Through a BodySoul Lens

Eva Rider
February 7-8, 2014

This workshop explores the relationship between Jung’s Alchemical Psychology and the Hermetic Tree of Life through the body-soul.

We will delve into the experience of “backing into the tree” for a deeper understanding of this profound path to consciousness. The study of alchemy as elucidated by this ancient glyph brings a deepening understanding to Jung’s concepts of archetype, image and symbol, bridging the collective and the personal Psyche and reflecting the Soul’s initiatory journey. When circuits OANDA between the archetypal, imaginal and physical realms are open, our senses become guides on a journey which reveal paths leading towards individuation or wholeness. As we enter into liminal space between the worlds, quickening the cosmic dance between force and form, above and below, masculine and feminine, macrocosm and microcosm, alpha and omega; we evoke a synthesis wherein the dancer and the dance become one.
