Athena & Medusa: Healing the Feminine Split
Caryn Aman and Margaret Greene
March 25, 2020 - March 29, 2020
Portland, OR, United States
In this Maskmaking Intensive, we will begin the work of healing the feminine split within a woman’s psyche where the unexpressed anger, rage, sadness and grief that have not been faced lie dormant and wreak havoc on ourselves and those around us. The myth of Athena and Medusa will animate this dynamic in our psyches while the work of Carl Jung and Marion Woodman will provide a framework of understanding as we set out on our journey.
During the workshop, mornings will be spent in exploration and discussion of the mythology and the dreams that come out of our work together. Afternoons will be devoted to consciously working with the energies through body and voice work followed by journaling and creative process time. The maskmaking process will fill our evenings.
The workshop will be held from 6 pm Wednesday, March 25 through 1 pm Sunday, March 29.
Dates: March 25, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - March 29, 2020 @ 1:00 pm
