Marlene Schiwy, Ph.D., is a Body Soul Writing instructor and Jungian counselor in Vancouver, Canada. A former professor of literature and women’s studies in the City University of New York, she is the author of Gypsy Fugue: An Archetypal Memoir, A Voice of Her Own (foreword by Marion Woodman), Simple Days, and many essays and articles. Marlene has taught a wide variety of courses, writing workshops, and Jungian Study Seminars in Canada, the US, and Europe for three decades, including Body Soul Sundays, a monthly Jungian expressive arts program for women. She studied extensively at the International School for Analytical Psychology in Zurich, graduated from the first Marion Woodman Foundation BodySoul Rhythms® Leadership Training Program and was honored to conduct a series of filmed interviews titled Marion Woodman and the Conscious Feminine.
