Imbolc: A Gathering for Women Exploring Body, Soul, Spirit and the Sacred Feminine

Sometimes, as we journey through life, we lose connection with some deep and important aspect of our selves. This day is an opportunity to reconnect with your deep soul Self and with the richness of your embodied creativity.

Imbolc is the old Celtic festival that heralds the beginning of Spring, often marked by the emergence of snowdrops, a moment of transition when the frozen ground begins to thaw. Imbolc is the festival of Brigid, Goddess of fire and smithcraft, healing and poetry.

Our day together will include working with movement and story, reflection and creativity and personal exploration and as a part of our morning we will create an Imbolc altar. The day will serve as an Introduction to BodySoul Rhythms®, the work of Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman, Dancer Mary Hamilton and Voice Coach Ann Skinner.

We will gather for our Imbolc day in a beautiful, old, sacred building in North London.

BodySoul Rhythm® Mornings: An Embodied Experience of the Deep Feminine

Woman, Soul Spirit: A series of 6 morning gatherings for women exploring Body, Soul, Spirit and the Sacred Feminine to be held January-March 2020 in London

Join us as we cross into January with a series of Friday morning BodySoul Rhythms® gatherings in North London. Sometimes, as we move through life, we can lose connection with some deep and important aspects of ourselves. These mornings offer opportunity to reconnect with the deep soul Self and with the richness of our embodied creativity.

The story Sealskin, Soulskin, a tale of returning home to one self will provide the map and will guides us on our journey together.

The tools for our time together come from myth and stories of the wild feminine, movement, dreamwork, meditation and mindfulness, simple ceremony and from personal reflection on our own individual life stories.

Participants are required to commit to attending all 6 morning sessions which will bring a sense of continuity and community to the circle and enable us to create a safe and sacred space together.

The sessions will be led by Jay Edge. Jay is a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist, Group Facilitator and Supervisor. Jay’s retreat days and workshops weave BodySoul Rhythms®, movement and creative expression and the story work of Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Jay completed the Marion Woodman Foundation Leadership Training program and trained at the Institute of Archetypal and Cross-Cultural studies with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women Who Run With Wolves.

Dates: 6 Friday mornings —January 24, February 7, 21, March 6, 13, 27, 2020, 10 am-1 pm

Labyrinth Days for Women: Psyche’s Tasks – The Heroine’s Journey, “Descent & Return to New Life”

Labyrinth days for women are individual retreat days held at the Equinox and Solstice days, powerful moments that mark the turning of the wheel of the year.

This coming year, as we move through the seasons and around the wheel of the year, we will use the myth of Psyche’s Soul Tasks as a map for our journey together. At each of the Labyrinth days we explore a different task.

In Spring we begin with the first Task, the Sorting of the Seeds, a task that requires patience, discernment, and waiting.

In Summer at the Solstice we will Gather The Golden Fleece, exploring where in our lives, inner or outer, we have been gathering Masculine Gold.

In Autumn at the Equinox we will explore The Waters of Life, bringing to awareness the times when we have faced dangerous things and succeeded in our task, and finally at mid-winter we will deepen into descent and journey back, returning to New Life.

Our tools for the journey will be BodySoul Rhythms®, myth and story, simple ceremony, art and creative expression, movement, stillness and each afternoon we will walk a beautiful, candlelit, Chartres style canvas labyrinth.

Each Labyrinth day is a “stand alone” retreat day, and whilst you are welcome to join us for the whole of the 2019 cycle, you are also welcome to come along for just one of the days.
