“The way to healing lies in finding a connection between body and soul. Soul needs body as much as body needs soul. Each is out of context without the other, an abandoned fragment of what it is.”
—Marion Woodman
Awakening the Dream- Inviting both artists and analysts to creatively explore Inner Work
Together Creative Dreamwork and WMIP present a summer intensive in the beautiful surroundings of the English Countryside. This intensive offers the unique opportunity for artists and analysts to work together. Gathering an equal number of participants from each of these inherently linked disciplines, together we will drop into a sustained exploration of inner work and its creative expression.
This intimate residential workshop is informed by the teachings of Marion Woodman and seeks to encourage integration of body, mind and soul. The intensive works with unconscious creative energies seeking release. Through exploration of bodywork, the breath, dream expression, movement and the unfolding creative activity of mask making this offers the extraordinary potential for personal and professional development. All set within a containing, reflective space supported by a Jungian-oriented framework this is the opposite of an academic or talking workshop, it is about the transformative power of the body.
We will have exclusive use of Brinsop Court – a 13-century private manor home near Hereford, England. The estate sits on 800 acres of private land with meadows and forests and sheep. For a full week we will remain nestled in this country side as we turn within and explore our work.
Prerequisite: This intensive invites both seasoned artists and psychotherapists to participate. Please send a brief statement about why you would like to attend. Please include your professional, somatic and artistic experience.
