The work of Helen Luke is a lesser known treasure of the Jungian world. Transparent and graceful, Luke’s writing radiates crone wisdom, kindness, and authenticity. Her work is eloquent and simple, and always grounded in the realities of everyday life. She speaks to everyone interested in exploring the deep feminine energies of “creative resonance” and “receptive devotion” in their own lives and creative process.
In this weeklong Journal Intensive, our writing will be inspired by our reading and discussion of Helen Luke’s book, Kaleidoscope. No previous knowledge of Jung or Helen Luke are necessary, however participants should read the instructor’s book, A Voice of Her Own, particularly chapters 1-3. Please bring a large journal or sketchbook and a set of coloured pens.
Textbook: Kaleidoscope: The Way of Woman and Other Essays.
“Only the images by which we live can bring transformation. Each of us has a well of images within, which are the saving reality and from which may be born the individual myth carrying the meaning of a life.” – Helen Luke, Kaleidoscope
