Journal Writing: The Work of Marion Woodman

Marlene Schiwy
July 11-15, 2011

In the course of this week we will read and discuss excerpts of Marion Woodman’s work, and allow her profound insights to inspire our journal writing. Topics include creative expression and the symbolic life, dreams and the nature of archetypal energy, and the emerging feminine principle in the world. Guided body meditations and embodied writing exercises help bring the body’s experience to consciousness. We will also watch excerpts of the instructor’s filmed interviews with Marion Woodman.

A folder of photocopied materials will be handed out on Monday. Please bring your journal or a sketchbook and a set of coloured pens. Art supplies will also be available.

* Please note that participants should read the instructor’s book, A Voice of Her Own: Women and the Journal Writing Journey, foreword by Marion Woodman.

July 11-15, 2011, Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm.

Please note that since this is such a popular workshop, a second workshop has been added August 2-5, 2011.
