The recent publication of C.G. Jung’s profound and astonishing work, The Red Book, is a dramatic reminder of the importance of active imagination and dreams in our lives. This weekend we will explore how the images in our dreams carry our essential life energy and potential. Friday’s lecture will focus on the power and riches of the imaginal world, and the process of active imagination.
During Saturday’s workshop we will enter the world of dreams. Through dream sharing and discussion, deep relaxation and gentle movement exercises, Proprioceptive Writing and a review of Jung’s understanding of the dream, we will explore this mysterious symbolic realm. We will also watch a segment of The Way of the Dream, with Marie Louise von Franz, and excerpts of Marlene's film of interviews with Marion Woodman, where Marion talks about the importance of dreams in her own life.
In an atmosphere of open exploration and suspended judgment, all are welcome and no one will be pressured in any way. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring your journal and a dream you are curious about.
