Love Matters for Psychic Transformation:  REVISED2.MAJA REINAu
A Study of Embodied Psychic Transformation in the Context of BodySoul Rhythms®

By Maja Reinau, M.D.

This book is woven by a profound respect and love for the soul and the transformative powers of the Body Psyche. It is an exploration into the embodied psychic transformation in the specific context of the BodySoul Rhythms® work (BSR) developed by Marion Woodman, Ann Skinner and Mary Hamilton.

Describing the BSR work, interviewing six women about their experiences and linking the BSR approach with the new neuroscience, developmental psychology, change in therapy, attachment theory and relational trauma I aim to show how much the BSR approach has to offer, not only in the Jungian field bu t also in the broader field of approaches.

Understanding and Healing Emotional Trauma:
Conversations with Pioneering UHET.D. Sieff- resizedClinicians and Researchers

by Daniela Sieff

This uniquely interdisciplinary book written by Daniela F. Sieff, PhD, explores the forces involved in both the creation and healing of emotional trauma, through in-depth yet accessible interviews with ten pioneers.

The interviewees have their roots in three perspectives: depth psychology, interpersonal neurobiology and evolutionary anthropology. They include Marion Woodman, Tina Stromsted, Donald Kalsched, Allan Schore and Dan Siegel.

Understanding and Healing Emotional Trauma took eight years to write, in part because I was committed to presenting the ideas of the interviewees in a way that was engaging and accessible, emobodied and substantial. Transforming lives affected by emotional trauma is possible, but not easy. The insights shared in these conversations can facilitate that process. They can help us to recognize emotional trauma for what it is; connect to what we carry in our unconscious minds and bodies; and relate to ourselves with self-compasstion, curiosity and responsibility. They also give us hope by showing us that change is possible, and by providing us with maps of the territory we must negoitate during a healing journey.

Daniela F. Sieff is an independent writer and scholar, with a PhD in biological anthropology and an active interest in the dynamics of the human psyche. She has completed the Marion Woodman Foundation BodySoul Rhythms® Leadership Training program.

Pearls: Defining Moments in Our LivesJudys_Pearls_FrntCOVERweb1_090314-300x190
Introducing a new book edited by
Judy Zappacosta

Edited by Judy Zappacosta, Pearls is an anthology of stories that offer healing and inspiration at crossroad moments in our lives. Twenty contributors describe transformative experiences in a beautiful collection.

“The stories within are really about crossing thresholds and discovering an unknown “pearl” that may arrive out of this alchemical mix of two people meeting or an unexpected encounter. Is this destiny? There are no answers to these moments somehow arriving at the right time, right location, with the right intention. It cannot be planned, or what it planned is not usually what occurs.” – Judy Zappacosta

Judy Zappacosta, MFT, co-owner of Caring for the Soul, is a Certified Sandplay Teacher in Sandplay Therapists of America (STA) and the International Society for Sandplay Therapy (ISST). She has maintained a private practice in Santa Cruz, California, for over 25 years focusing on Jungian psychotherapy, Sandplay, dreams, and integration of psyche and soma. She consults and supervises therapists using Sandplay, and has published and taught both nationally and internationally. She has completed the Marion Woodman Foundation BodySoul Rhythms® Leadership Training Program. She is a contributing author in Sandplay Supervision, edited by Rie Mitchell and Harriet Friedman, (Routledge), and Living the Tides of Uncertainty, (STA).
