DANIELA F. SIEFF, Ph.D.

My roots are in evolutionary anthropology; I have a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Oxford, and carried out research with a livestock herding society in Tanzania. In recent years, I have explored emotional trauma and healing by bringing together my own lived experience with knowledge that comes from depth psychology, neurobiology, evolution, and anthropology. This work gave birth to my book “Understanding and Healing Emotional Trauma: Conversations with Pioneering Clinicians and Researchers” (published by Routledge in 2015).
