Soul Journaling: An Experiential Weekend Workshop

Catherine Clarke
November 4-5, 2011

"There is vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open."

—Martha Graham to Agnes de Mille

Do you give your creative life the attention it deserves? Do you honor your imagination, its language and images, its stories and poems? If you are opening to or returning to the writing already written inside you, consider Soul Journaling.

For Soul Journaling, facilitator Catharine Clarke creates a warm and inspiring circle inviting those who gather to:

• Open to the wisdom of their bodies
• Trust the soul of their imaginations
• Listen deeply to their authentic voices
• Free their words and images onto the page

Soul Journaling explores our connection to the Creative Mystery that meets us when we give true attention to our creative lives. Our willingness and presence allows us to both let go of old fears and open to the creative flow.

We will gather on Friday evening at 7pm in a warm, at-home setting, to create a container for our work together, a temenos or sacred circle. This reflects the inner space where soul-making takes place.

On Saturday we will begin the day in silence before re-opening our circle at 9:30am. We will first turn to our dreams and bring them alive through our writing. Our process deepens with guided meditation and generative movement where we intend to fully enter the portal to our writing selves.

Our writing will guide us to the treasures of our day's work. We will close our circle with refreshed awareness and renewed creative intention at 5pm.

Dates:
November 4-5, Friday 7-10 pm, Saturday 9:30 am-5 pm.
